An additional step about garbage collection during Cricket World Cup 2011 in Bangladesh

Our ears are just waiting to hear a voice about our beloved Bangladesh in every sport channels all over the world for the first time hosting some world cup matches. We are passing a very tense time in every moment as it comes near about to be happened. During this time period, everybody needs to be care about our responsibilities and duties what we can do for our Bangladesh. During every match, some times sport channels will show environment near about stadium as they do in other matches. We need to be very careful about to make up clean environment especially waste containers or garbage collection.

In Dhaka city, garbage collection is not very good and we can see wastes are dumped outside of containers and spread in road. Sometimes garbage are not disposed from Street to disposal areas. People just can not walk through pavement near about garbage collection spot. Most of the things are happened near about slum areas. It may be shown in some sports channels as bad things in Bangladesh or international fans will treat it as bad management. During this time period authority can take more steps to collect garbage periodically in a good fashion. Authority can take a step to alarm people to put garbage at container but not outside of container especially in slum areas. Our one step can make us more beautiful to whole over the world. We are very exciting to see Bangladesh in new arena.

An alternative thought for energy in Bangladesh

Being over populated country we don’t lose our hope on crisis because of tactful crisis management. As we are living overcrowded area, but we don’t think about its some advantages. Waste materials disposal can be an alternative energy source. Last decade we can see technology has been upgraded a lot on waste to energy production. In Dhaka like city, we are producing huge amount of waste. But we don’t know how to reuse the waste to make energy. It is the time to ponder about it. 

Due to technological advancement, we can mull about this huge amount waste to make energy like gas or electricity. For big plant for big city and small plant for small city which can serve electricity at our energy crisis time. In Dhaka waste are collected so badly that we can not walk through footpath. Most of the waste collected areas are now on the road as we are not managing properly. We, who live near about it, can reek of it which is very embracing. Wastes are using to produce energy in many countries like USA, Europe, Japan and China. If we manage waste properly, then it can save us from diseases, serve a big amount of energy at crisis moment and make eco-friendly environment.

What should we learn from other cultures?

Today’s mundane world is very fast and responsive. We, all are just floating on its current though the most of us exactly don’t know where we are going. Now everybody knows how media is powerful. How media can be responsible to control moral values in our society? But sometimes we hear that media is affecting our culture and we are losing our own culture especially people talks about practicing bad western culture. We should take only those values which are really right and suitable for our society among all moral values cited in the whole world though it is from western culture.     

Every country has its own culture. Some countries have more than one culture. From tradition point of view every culture is right from their respect. There is nothing wrong if we see those with their point of views. But some moral values are rife on all peninsulas. Ethics, professionalism, commitment and discipline etc. are very much precious qualities judged in all over the world. Do we normally see those values on people who are practicing western culture? It is very often to see those values. 

We often blame the media especially TV channels that they are prevailing those so called western bad culture among our society. But why we don’t take right thing to practice along with other things. 

Why we don’t teach ourselves about commitment which is easily we break behind the scene? Do we see commitment breaking in normal people in western culture? Do we see how professionalism they are maintaining in their services? Do we know how they are ethical? When they make a commitment, they try to fulfill their commitment at any cost, but we normally don’t do that. 

We just put on countenance of western culture, shame to us that we even can’t follow others. We should only take those values which are really correct for our society and practice as we can to improve our personal moral values which will be major contribution to build up our nation for the future.
